Providing holiday meals for those in need

In the spirit of giving, a couple of Toronto entrepreneurs has launched an initiative meant to help others enjoy a warm restaurant meal this season.

Buying prepaid meals worth more than $5,800.

The Little Portugal couple reached out to GTA food spots on Facebook, and seven answered the call: Chen Chen’s Nashville Hot Fried Chicken, two Pi Co. locations (the Junction and St. Clair West), Aviv Immigrant Kitchen, Kiss My Pans, the Opium Bar and Theatre Centre Cafe.

Toronto entrepreneurs pay-it-forward. 

Through word of mouth, Susanna Chung and her husband, Adam Chung, have amassed more than 125 meals in six days, thanks to their donations, donations from the community and restaurants matching their meal purchases.
